My Writing

I currently am working on several novels/series, which I hope to one day share with the world. Below are the projects I am most passionate about.

Deception Trilogy

Draped in Deception (Book 1)
Genre: YA Fantasy Romance
Current Status: Third draft
Summary:

"How do you kill the person you love?"
Teenage warrior Lissaer Jianca must kill the rival royal family to prove her worth to her mother, but a fear of blood and killing holds her back. Lissaer goes under disguise in an enemy city, but when she is tricked into an illegal fighting ring, she brings more enemies to the table. Prince Eric Relen wants to prove his worth to the Lacerian Empire, but he can't read. If Eric could find someone who loved him for himself and not the title, he would feel worthy of his title, but he is thrown into an arranged political marriage. When Lissaer and Eric meet, something grows between them. Something stronger than friendship.
Love or duty. Hate or worth. Fear or passion.
How do you decide when the tides of war are sweeping in?

Chained in Cunning (Book 2)
Genre: YA Fantasy Romance
Current Status: First draft completed/Awaiting editing
Summary: *not added due to spoilers*

Wrecked in War (Book 3)
Genre: YA Fantasy Romance
Current Status: Brainstorming
Summary: *not added due to spoilers*

Golden Revenge

Genre: YA Fantasy/Retelling
Current Status: Second draft
Summary:

"Magic is what caused this war; magic is what will end it."

Teen refugee Taylan fled from his civil war strewn country when royal soldiers slaughtered his village and family for supporting rebel soldiers. Now, all he desires is revenge. Away from the war, Princess Mida has been considered a monster all her life with her golden touch, so she stays away from almost everyone. Mida seeks a cure to her curse by delving deep into the illegal magic market, while Taylan struggles to make any money working in the palace.
When the rebel soldiers find their way over the border into the refugee camp, looking for new recruits and money to fund their army, the answer to their problems might lie in the two teens; revenge and the touch of gold.

Safe-House

Genre: YA Murder Mystery
Current Status: First drafting
Summary:

"Darkness can't hide in the shadows forever."

The Safe-House.

Criminals from all over the city seek shelter behind its walls when their lives are in danger. The Criminal Guilds' laws demand that no murder take place in the Safe-House, a rule that most follow grudgingly--or die. When weapons expert Mercy falls out with her Guild and takes a job at the Safe-House, she never expects to wake up to multiple murders.

Everyone is a suspect; the sassy cook quick with poison, the mysterious Hood who changes faces every day...even Mercy's own boyfriend.

In the Safe-House, safety is just an empty promise.

Seven Queens

Genre: YA Fantasy
Current Status: Brainstorming
Summary:

"Seven queens, seven countries, seven lives at risk. Only one can live."

Dashna has always been a nobody or owned by someone else. When her country and six others are invaded by a powerful northern kingdom ruled by Queen Mahala, all the monarchs are assassinated. Queen Mahala makes an offer to the countries: if the girl she puts on the throne wins a game against her and six other new queens, she will let the winner's country go. The losers will submit to Queen Mahala's rule.
Dashna is put on the throne. She must learn how to rule quickly, but the noblemen around her still act as if they own her. As if she is a pawn.
Queen Mahala's game is deadly, with her 'fate cards' which can release a plague on a city instantly. But this is no board game.
       This is real.
